Any dog on
a well balanced diet should have all the nutrients that are
necessary for their body to function properly.
We would
all like to give our faithful companions the very best possible
diet we can find (and afford) but it is not always possible to
provide the right balance of essential nutrients, vitamins and
minerals that a dog may require for optimum levels of health.
Like humans, different situations may affect your dog’s ability
to digest and metabolize a processed diet due to the quality of
chosen pet food, your dogs age, their general health and even
their temperament.
It can
therefore be beneficial to add a natural nutritional supplement
to your dog’s diet to restore that balance. At times when your
dog’s body is challenged (having just recovered from an illness
or showing a change in skin/coat condition) the
addition of herbs to the diet can also provide the extra
support required to maintain a good state of health and well being.
At Animal
Pure we believe that this holistic approach is best, combining
herbs with the relevant vitamins and minerals to support your
dog’s health from within. We believe in nature and using
small quantities of safe herbs that work together to produce a
balanced response, without the detrimental side-effects which
may result from bigger dosages of herbs or from drugs.
Our
products have been formulated by experienced canine
nutritionists and based on decades of research relating to
Chinese and western herbal practices. We take every steps
to ensure that our

|
large

Each animal is an individual and metabolises food differently
and we have based our feeding guide on “average” sized
dogs. With our herbal supplements you can adjust the amount of
feed accordingly to what suits your particular dog size or the
health issue you are looking to support, however, you should not
exceed more than 50% of the recommended feeding guide above.
As with any new food introduce the supplement gradually over a
week. We have had positive feedback and are not aware of any
side effects from our canine herbal supplements based on the above
feeding guidelines,
however, if any undesirable effect occurs discontinue use and
contact us immediately.

How long will a
tub last?
A 200g tub
should last a large dog (21-40kg) between 5 and 6 weeks based on
our recommended feeding amount.
When will I notice any changes?
It would normally take about 2 weeks for our dried herbal
supplements to be absorbed into your dogs system. However,
every dog is different in terms of how they metabolism their
food so it may vary from dog to dog. We therefore recommend
that you allow up to 6 weeks to ensure that you give the
products sufficient time to become effective within yours dogs
body.
Can I continue to give my dog supplements long term or indefinitely?
As with any vitamin or herbal supplement it is always important
to observe your dog and be aware of even subtle changes in their
health, condition and diet to be able to assess the required
level of supplementation. Our products can be used for long
periods daily to help maintain a balanced diet and for your dog
to remain
healthy; however, we do recommend your dog having a break of two
weeks every three months to maintain the level of the
supplements effectiveness. Always consult your veterinary
surgeon if you have any concerns about your dogs long term
health issues.
How can I make my dog eat the supplement, he hates taking
medicines?
Our herbal supplements are nutritional products rather than
medicines and we have added a small amount of beef flavouring to
ensure they are palatable by even the pickiest of eaters. The
products can be mixed in with “wet” canned food or if feeding a
dry diet a little water will help to ensure all the supplement
is taken up.
My dog is taking steroids can I still feed her a supplement?
We have found that generally feeding herbal formulations
will not affect the vast majority of conventional medicines;
however, as every situation is different if your dog is
currently being treated or taking any conventional medicine we
advise that you consult with your veterinary surgeon in the
first instance for further advice.
